It's pretty awesome that God wants to talk to us.It's not just an option to pray,it's an amazing privilege. It's also amazing that Jesus died so that we could have eternal life. All I can say is when you read and pray,it's an exciting recipe for life.I'm slowly realizing that the Christian life is all about getting closer to and enjoying more about the Lord Jesus,my Savior. If you want a thrilling read, next time your relaxing, read the story of Esther.it beats Hollywood by a long shot.have fun

God is always with me
Ok so this is something that i have been enjoying SO much lately.God is always with me.
The life of someone who has had their sins forgiven,a Christian life,is not about emotions.I wake up most mornings feeling at best peaceable if not my worst, ready to start a war...but that does not determine how my day will go or how much God loves me.After praying, and then reading the bible,I feel more ready to face whatever will happen that day.
"For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. (Proverbs 3:26 KJV)".that verse was my lock screensaver on my iPod for the last week or so,and it has been a huge help to me.I find that I realize more that God is with me when I head out by myself,or hear people saying that there is no God,and then I remember that God is with me,helping me,and that he loves me like crazy.
Man I wish everybody would see God as I see him..not as a big, scary giant<>but as a LOVING CREATOR.
Anyway,I hope this helps someone and here's a verse that I can't say anything magnificent about, but if you look into it I think you might find it as challenging as I did when I read it.
"And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the Lord . (2 Chronicles 12:14 KJV)"
Read it in its context and see where it fits in.any comments on it would be great.
Thanks for checking back.peace!

Feb 26,2011
Was 2 years and a day ago.that was the day that I became a Christian.I realized that if I didn't get my sins forgiven i would go to hell when I died,so I was reading a gospel paper and it said "God is Satisfied",and I realized that God(the creator!!)was satisfied with what Jesus did on the cross to pay for my sins so that I could go to heaven after I died.Jesus died for me!
There are people that would tell me that "there's no such thing as God","Gods dead","we are our own gods ".
all I have to ask is "can you explain the change in me?"
Now I have peace,I know where I'm going after I die,and best of all...I have The Lord Jesus.
So what brings me to why I wrote this post today is the weather,it is one of those awesome springish days, you know, when the snow is melting and the sun is warm. And as I was driving I was thanking God for such an awesome day,and the fact that no matter what happens,I will be in heaven with him forever.
You might think I'm a Christian nut,but I challenge you to check into it for yourself, and you will see that God is a God of love, and that he has a plan for you.
Here's one of the most well-known verses from the bible,John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Thanks for checking this out,and I hope that you will think of God differently now,not as an angry God waiting to throw a lightning bolt at you,but as a loving God who sent his son to die for you so that you could be in heaven with him.
Peace

Precious Thoughts
"And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods. But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him? (2 Chronicles 2:5,6).
God is HUGE.He is bigger, better, and more than we will ever know.To read that the universe cannot contain him...thats big.
Sidestep. When someone says "I Love You",its either because you just gave them a piece of your chocolate bar,or it's coming from someone who totally means it.We dont care about the first kind of "I love you",but when we know that somebody truly loves us..we love it.(enough "loves" yet?)
Now to mix those 2 paragraphs into an epic conclusion.
It hit me the other day that God loves me.It's one thing for my family to love me,or other Christians that I know..but it's crazy that God loves me.read psalm 139=he knows everything about us but still chooses to love us unconditionally. After thinking that I really have wanted to appreciate that fact more.Sooo~-=to get to why the title of this is called "Precious Thoughts"."How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee."(Psalms 139:17,18)
GOD HAS PRECIOUS THOUGHTS ABOUT US!
I hope this encourages you and check back any time.

"Seek his face continually"
"Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;" (1 Chronicles 16:11,12).
once again I don't have too much to say about this...but guess what?=I don't need to.it's The Word of God.
all I can say is that if your like me,you need to appreciate the Lord Jesus aloot more, and we can only do that with Gods help..but you know what's cool?when you start to appreciate him more, you start enjoying the meetings more, and doing stuff for his glory seems more appealing. That's just my thoughts, and I have such little experience in this, but I can testify that God WILL help you to "seek his face" when you ask for help with it.
Peace out.

Psalm 125:1&2
"1.They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.2.As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever."-psalms 125:1-2
I don't have anything profound to say about this, but if we trust in the Lord we will be unmovable.and verse 2 is a huge comforter.
Have a good Sunday

Running
It has been my ambition to start running a couple times a week,so I was finally able to today.Since my exams are over I am experiencing extreme feelings of relief, but also a desire to do something on these 3 days off.so I ran.I ran from my house to the fire-station at the end of my road(if you know where I live, you also know that 45%of that would be downhill),and started walking back.anyway I ran and walked home and sort of died a little bit.
But what was cool was that at the start(on the downhill section)I realized something about running=when you look way ahead,it seems soo long and tiring, but when you look at the little spaces between the cement,it doesn't seem so impossible.I thought it was a perfect comparison of the Christian life(mine anyway). To have the goal far ahead is mandatory, but to cover the small steps along the way,is also mandatory.
I feel kinda pumped with that, cuz it's lesson i REALLY need to learn.
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;" Hebrews 12:1-2

"Jesus only"
Ok this is something I read in D.L.Moody's testimony, and it's beyond awesome.
"Jesus only",
"The light of Heaven is the face of Jesus,
The joy of Heaven is the presence of Jesus,
The melody of Heaven is the name of Jesus,
The harmony of Heaven is the praise of Jesus,
The theme of Heaven is the work of Jesus,
The employment of Heaven is the service of Jesus,
The duration of Heaven is the eternity of Jesus,
The fullness of Heaven is Jesus himself",
I need to know more of Jesus.hope this encouraged you:)

Galatians 4:9
hey
exams are coming=some pretty intense studying.
i got braces on my top teeth, cant wait to see the results:)
exams are coming=some pretty intense studying.
i got braces on my top teeth, cant wait to see the results:)
Psalms 106:10("He saved them from the hand of him who hated them,
And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.").We were saved from the one who hates us more than we can imagine(the Devil)..by the one who loves us more than we can imagine(God).
"But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?"-Galatians 4:9
This verse always speaks to me,'weak and beggarly' is a great way to describe what i lived for before i was saved.I got saved on february 26,2011, and would never go back,it is the best thing that ever happened to me,and it has had the biggest effect on me.What i find is that when i start reading and praying less and less,my desires for Godly things go out the window, and i start wanting to do things things that i used to do before i got saved. For example, when i am not reading or praying much, one thing that i really want to do is go listen to the beatles for a while...but i know that if i do that, the last thing i'll want to do is tell somebody the gospel,or read my bible,or pray.Everybody has things that trip them up,thats one of mine.
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."-Galatians 5:1
Back on track. When i am reading and praying regularly, and asking God for help and preservation, thats when im happiest.
So to sum up everything...We are saved from a cruel master.theres always the temptations that want to make us live like we used to live.stand fast by reading and praying at least once a day.And to encourage you, when we fail God..He is always there to help us and welcome us back. 2nd timothy 2:13-"If we are faithless,He remains faithful; He cannot deny himself."
peace out and have a good night.
or day;)
